Hi Nafiseh,

Your question is not clear for me.
Usually the grid cell size for the main domain is what you define first in your namelist.wps file, see :
http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/OnLineTutorial/Basics/GEOGRID/geogrid_namelist.htm
dx=27000
dy=27000
for a 27km grid cell

 the child domain grid size if you have one is defined using the ratio
parent_grid_ratio = 1, 3,
here the child grid size will 27000/3=9000 m

does this answer you question?

Best regards
Thierry

Hi All,
I am struggling with calculating WRF grid cell size.
How can I know the grid cell size of my run? Do I need to calculate it? Or it is based on the data resolution?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Nafiseh
