[Wrf-users] Too many pressure levels in wrf output when forced with NCEP R2

The ncdump output shows that the number of pressure levels should be set to
34 when wrf is forced with NCEP R2 but R2 is known to only have 17 pressure
levels?

Anyone know what might be the problem?

Is having 34 pressure levels not a big deal since the added levels are only
vertically interpolated levels?
