Hi Saimy,

As for questions 1, the answer is no. In my view it is not necessary to
compile plotsgrid.exe or sounding.exe to get OBSGRID to run successfully.
If I'm not mistaken, these are programs related to NCL plot, which aims to
visualize info about the observations inserted in the initial conditions.

Regarding question 2, I can't really help you with that. The data I used
was not of such type; my colleagues and I had to develop a fortran code to
transform the original text file format into Little_r format.
