Dear WRF-USERS,

I would like to post below discussion.

===========================

Hello WRF-USERS,

I am trying to WRF run with NAM 12km (6hours) data for year of 2012.
The version of current WRF and NAM data is below;

   - WRFV3.7
   - WPSV3.7
   - NAM12km 6hours data (eg.20120607.nam.t00z.awphys00.grb2.tm00)

*Question1) When I do "./ungrib.exe", I have warning massages that I have
never see during exercise case. Error messages are highlighted in red color
in below table.Would you advised me how do I resolve it? *

geoedu at geoedu-PowerEdge-T620:~/WRF/WPS$ ln -sf
ungrib/Variable_Tables/Vtable.NAM Vtable

geoedu at geoedu-PowerEdge-T620:~/WRF/WPS$ ./link_grib.csh
/home/geoedu/WRF/WPS/NAM12/2012*

geoedu at geoedu-PowerEdge-T620:~/WRF/WPS$ ./ungrib.exe

*** Starting program ungrib.exe ***

Start_date = 2012-06-07_00:00:00 , End_date = 2012-06-08_00:00:00

output format is WPS

Path to intermediate files is ./

Subsoil level 300 in the GRIB2 file, was not found in the Vtable

*Question2) I'd like to run WRF in very high spatial resolution (dx/dy
<1km). As I understand, I need high geographical data (Now, I use basic
data in WRF package) for high resolution simulation. Would you comment
where can I find high resolution geog data? And how do I configure it in
WRF model?  *

Thanks for your co-operation in advance.

Yours sincerely
BongJae Kuk
