[Wrf-users] num_metgrid levels & Model Instability

Hi all WRF Users,

1. I had a similar problem, I have adjusted the Model to 18km, and have
also tried to increase the met_grid or e-vert from 27 to more levels,
however, when I run the model it gives me an error that the input file has
only 27 levels.

2. The model became unstable at certain times and at times it dumped the
core. I have resolved this by reducing the time_step, however, am wondering
why this happens?

Any idea how these can be resolved? Am all ears.
