Hi, Everyone,
     I'm trying to run WRF-LES with defaulted case (no any changes from
README.namelist and input_sounding
in test/em_les/), but cannot make it successfully. Firstly when running
ideal.exe,
I got the NaN in rsl.out.0000 file, through the rsl.error.0000 and
rsl.out.0000 ended with  'wrf initilizale successfully",
and wrfinput_d01 file was generated, with all LU_INDEX values were 0. After
changed ztop in namelist.input from
19000 to 10000m, there was no NaN data appeared in rsl.out.0000 file any
more (see the following). I'm not sure if this
kind of change reasonable or not.  While when run wrf.exe,  I got the
message as the following (wether I adjusted ztop
 in namelist.input file). BTW, I have set up 'ulimit -s unlimited' in wrf
running script, the geo*nc file was provided
 in WPS subdirectory.  The namelist.input file was also posted below.

     Based on these probelms, I got couple of questions:
1. How to determine ztop in the namelist.input file? Is it related to
"p_top_request" or sounding data provided?
2. How does the WRF model initilizate land surface variables (LU_INDEX, soil
) in an ideal case? Seems wrf.exe cannot
run because the  MMINLU was not defined. Do I need to set up it in code or
provide more surface information in namelist.input
file?But how I'm supposed to do it since as I know almost all the surface
related options are for real case?
3 Is any one willing to post his/her namelist.input file so I can take an
example?
