Hello Emil,

You are correct if you are referring to the height of the model coordinate surface above ground level. If you want the height above sea level, it's equal to (PH+PHB)/9.81

I wanted to double check the computation of the actual level height 
(w.r.t. the ground) in WRF. Is it Height [m]  = (PH+PHB)/9.81 - HGT?
