Hi Rich,

We wrote the grib routines, so we'll take a look at this. As far as a I know, using the grib routines for southern Hemisphere domains has been minimal. Thanks for pointing it out--I will look into it within the next week.

Subject: [Wrf-users] Incorrect map projection for GRIB auxilliary historyoutput in Southern Hemisphere

Hello,

We have modified the Registry in WRF V2.2 in order to output selected fields in GRIB1 format using auxiliary history files. The map projection is correct in the Northern Hemisphere, but not in the SH. This is evident by the wgrib diagnostic output showing a Lat1 of zero. Has anyone encountered this? Thank you.

NetCDF history file:

                :CEN_LAT = -38.44989f ;

                :CEN_LON = 144.83f ;

                :TRUELAT1 = -38.45f ;

                :TRUELAT2 = -38.45f ;

                :MOAD_CEN_LAT = -38.45f ;

                :STAND_LON = 144.83f ;
