Post Doctoral Position in Atmospheric Modelling

 

The Waterloo Centre for Atmospheric Sciences (WCAS) has two immediate
openings at the Post Doctoral Level in the regional atmospheric modelling
group.  The duties involve the development of methods for the assimilation
of surface and satellite remote sensing measurements in regional chemical
transport models.  The successful candidate will work with the satellite
remote sensing group at the WCAS on direct data assimilation methods as well
as on more conventional regional chemical transport modelling projects.  The
WCAS modelling group includes Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows,
Graduate Students, a meteorologist and a computer systems specialist.  It
carries out collaborative research on chemical transport modelling,
satellite remote sensing and laboratory studies related to North American
air quality using the WRF/SMOKE/CMAQ CTM system.  We also use to produce a

chemical transport model development will be given preference.  Further

The WCAS is located at the University of Waterloo (http://www.uwaterloo.ca/)
in the Kitchener-Waterloo area which has a population of approximately
250,000, and is surrounded by a pleasant, mostly agricultural, rural region.
