DELEGATED EXAMINING VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Program Analyst, GS-0343-11

LOCATION:  Office of Air & Radiation, Office of Atmospheric Programs,
Climate Protectin Partnerships Division, Energy Star Residential Branch,
in Washington, DC

PROMOTION POTENTIAL:  GS-13

TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES:

Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid by the
Agency.  Any travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated
with reporting for duty in this position will be the responsibility of
the selected candidate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-  This position is located in the Energy Star Residential Branch of the
Climate Protection Partnerships Division (CPPD).  CPPD provides a widely
recognized consumer logo that builders can voluntarily use to label
energy efficient homes.  The Energy Star Qualified Homes Program uses
sales, marketing and  outreach tools to recruit builder partners and to
build consumer awareness of Energy Star.  This position has become
available because the current Regional Support Coordinator is shifting
responsibilities to focus solely on communications for both Energy Star
Qualified Homes and Home Performance with Energy Star.

- Incumbent provides nationwide marketing and outreach support to the
full array of Energy Star Qualified homes partners including builders,
raters, utilities, and state administrators.

- Coordinate with regional account manager contractor team to train a
wide network of builders, real estate professionals, and home energy
raters to promote the Energy Star message.

- Introduces outreach and marketing materials for the new Energy Star
Indoor Air Package label; administer and promote the annual Energy Star
Qualified Homes Partner Achievement Awards; monitor the use of Energy
Star sales and outreach materials to ensure the integrity and meaning of
the Energy partner logo-use; manage consumer complaints regarding Energy
Star; and expand the use of the Energy Star for Homes Sales Toolkit.

- 10% of work time will be spent performing contract management duties.
