Dear Barry,
I do not know if obj_anal_ic is conservative but the remapcon operator in CDO is conservative interpolation.
I hope I could help you!
Best regards,
Beata

Subject: [ncl-talk] Grid Interpolation (Conservative?)

Hello:

I am using obj_anal_ic to interpolate data (lat/lon/value) to a coarser grid.

I am wondering if the interpolation is conservative (the grid is a mercator grid).

If not, is there a recommendation on which interpolation scheme to use?

Thank you.

Barry
