[ncl-talk] What is the best projection to use the weather near the equator and is it supported in WRF?

Hi,

One WRF weather user asked: Can we use WRF to describe the weather in the Caribbean region?
Latitude of 10-20 degree is good enough for Lambert Conformal Conic Projection?
I think that Mercator projection may be a better projection for the near equator.
If so, does WRF supports Mercator Projection?

Thank you.

Tosa
