Dear NCL group,

The transient eddies at a particular location was defined as the low-pass-filtered intensity of the fluctuations in the wind component perpendicular to local wind vector.
My question is that is there any possible using NCL to calculate the wind component perpendicular to local wind vector?
Thank you in advace.
