[ncl-talk] skewt_8.ncl sample input file

Can anyone please provide a description of the variables in the ascii 
file at the following link.

<http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/Data/asc/sounding.testdata>

I have data for a site that I would like to plot using skewt_8 and I 
will need to format it as the testdata.
Do other versions of skewt accept ascii as input?
