[ncl-talk] How to pick out the grids in a chosen area from a polar stereographic projection dataset?

Hi, all

      I’am dealing with a dataset with polar_stereographic projection.  I want to pick out the data in a chosen area (-50S ~ -70S,-180W-180E). However, since the latitude coordinate 

was not in monotonic arrangement ( it descends and then ascends for the reason of projection), I can not pick out the chosen grids with the function such as ind and region_ind.

Anyone can show me a hand? 

      The original nc file can not be attached for the reason of size, the attached cvs file indicate how the latitude dimension was arranged for the data.
