[ncl-talk] can't output png

Hi,

Offhand, it sounds like you are using an older version of NCL, in which
support for CairoWorkstations (i.e., PNG) was optional,  Cairo, and thus
PNG, are inherently part of newer versions -- any of the 6.x.x variety (the
latest is 6.2.1).
