Mary,
I have downloaded the following 6.1.2 binaries below for ncl_ncarg pkgs
which I thought should work for Centos 5,6 systems. When I installed the
RHEL 5.6 version, the tests for our Centos 5 systems worked but I did
have to install pixman for the ncargex test to compile and work on our
Centos 5 systems. I could get ng4ex test to work on our Centos 6 systems
if I made a soft link so that libcurl.so.3--> libcurl.so.4.1.1 but the
ncargex test fails with a gfortran error.
When I installed the RHEL6.2_ gcc446 pkg, both test programs fail
for out CENTOS 5 systems. The ng4ex works for our CENTOS 6 systems but
fails for the ncargex test with a gfortran error. We are using the
gfortran(4.1.2) on the CENTOS 5 systems and gfortran(4.4.7) on our
Centos 6 systems currently.

ncl_ncarg-6.1.2.Linux_RHEL5.6_x86_64_gcc412.tar
ncl_ncarg-6.1.2.Linux_RHEL6.2_x86_64_gcc446.tar
ncl_ncarg-6.1.2.Linux_RHEL6.2_x86_64_gcc472.tar

Not sure if there is another ncl-ncarg-6.1.2 pkg that can downloaded or
not. Wish out users only needed ncl but some compile their programs
that use ncarg pkg. Unfortunately we have currently a mixture of Centos
5 and 6 systems that use the NCARG pkgs. Was hoping to have one version
of NCARG on our main fileserver that would work for both of our Centos
versions we are currently using--Any suggests would be helpful
