[NARCCAP-discuss] Sea Surface Temperatures (SST) in NARCCAP

What's the difference between tas (table 2) and ts (table 3) over the  
land, other than that tas is at 2m and ts is at the interface? Is ts  
over the land still a GCM input, while tas is computed by the regional  
model?
