The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington (UW)
invites applications for a full-time, 9-month (100% FTE), tenure-track
Assistant Professor faculty position to begin Autumn 2018.

We anticipate that the successful candidate’s research will focus on
aspects of weather with a high impact on society. Severe weather is widely
recognized as one of the most important hazards faced by society. Areas of
interest include, but are not limited to windstorms, extreme precipitation,
severe thunderstorms, droughts, tornadoes, and tropical cyclones. The
method of study can include observational, modeling, or theoretical
approaches.
