[Grad-postdoc-assn] Middle School STEM Conference looking for female role model presenter

Dear Rebecca,

The Boulder Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW)
and
UCB are currently making preparations for the 22th Expanding Your Horizons
(EYH)
conference and we would like to ask you if you are available to present a
workshop. The conference will be held Saturday, February 25th, 2017, from 10:00
a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Engineering Center on the
University of Colorado at the Boulder campus. In general around 300 girls
participated in EYH, and 40% have been of hispanic background.

The EYH conference is designed to encourage 6th, 7th and 8th-grade girls
to study math, science, and technology by allowing them to interact with
women who use these disciplines in their careers. Each presenter is
expected to give three sessions (same ones) of a 50-min workshop for up to
twelve girls. We have found that the most successful workshops are
interactive and allow hands-on participation by the girls.
