The climate change sciences community is recognizing the limits of using
facts and figures in effectively communicating climate change. It is
becoming more and more recognized that understanding the psychological
aspects of climate change communication is crucial to getting the climate
change message across, especially to non-scientific audiences.

As part of the Climate Change Communication Series, in January, Renee
Lertzman, a climate communications and engagement strategist and
researchers will present a 1-hour seminar and a 3-hour workshop on
psychological aspects of communicating climate change.

Mark your calendars:
*Thursday, January 12: 1:30 - 2:30 pm (ML Seminar Rm)*: Seminar: "Beyond
Facts and Stories: Navigating the Psychological Dimensions of Communicating
Climate Change"

*Friday, January 13: 9 am - 12 pm (ML Damon Rm)*: Workshop: "Leveraging
Psychological Insights for Communicating about our Changing Climate"

Descriptions of both events are attached. *Please note that the workshop is
limited to 20 attendees - please RSVP to Yaga at jrichter at ucar.edu
<jrichter at ucar.edu> if you'd like to attend. *You can find more info about
the speaker at *http://reneelertzman.com. <http://reneelertzman.com./>*

Please let me know if you have questions and I hope to see you there!
