*Job Posting – Postdoctoral Fellowship in Science-Policy*

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) Policy Program seeks candidates
with backgrounds in the Earth sciences and related fields for a
science-policy postdoctoral fellowship.

Postdoctoral fellows in science-policy have the opportunity to explore the
policy dimensions of their scientific field, develop expertise in new areas
at the science-policy interface, help initiate novel activities within the
AMS Policy Program, and contribute to our ongoing activities. Specific
opportunities, roles, and responsibilities vary based on the interests and
backgrounds of each fellow but will likely include contributing to Policy
Program studies and analysis (www.ametsoc.org/studies).

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) promotes the development and
dissemination of information and education on the atmospheric and related
oceanic and hydrologic sciences and the advancement of their professional
applications. Founded in 1919, AMS has a membership of more than 13,000
professionals, students, and weather enthusiasts. AMS publishes eleven
atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic journals — in print and
online — sponsors more than 12 conferences annually, and offers numerous
programs and services. For more information on the AMS, visit our Web site
at www.ametsoc.org.

The AMS Policy Program promotes informed and thoughtful decision-making
through analysis, communication, innovative problem solving, and research.
We help policy-makers and scientists understand one another and work
together more effectively. For more information about the AMS Policy
Program, visit our Web site at www.ametsoc.org/amspolicy.
