Hi,

Our Visa Specialist, Shonna Montoya, has been asked by the U.S. Department
of State to provide several examples of some success stories that occurred
during the reporting period (July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015).

If you are a J1 Visa holder at NCAR, please take a moment to write a
paragraph about your contributions to NCAR and how your visit or employment
at NCAR has helped you professionally AND personally.

"The Department of State is not only interested in how J1 visitors improve
our organization, but also, how their visits improve their lives, their
understanding of U.S. culture, and how the exchange component that the J
program is supposed to provide to both the U.S. and the countries where our
visitors come from, is working out. Anything you can provide would be
greatly appreciated! The information is needed no later than July 24th. "

You may send these directly to Shonna Montoya at smontoya at ucar.edu and copy
me if you choose.
Presumably these testimonials will help NCAR and other visitors seeking J1
visas in the future, so your help is greatly appreciated. Shonna needs
these this week, so if you could take a moment today or tomorrow that would
be super.

Thanks!
Paula

p.s. This applies to ASP and non ASP visitors/postdocs. I just wanted to
get the word out to as many people as possible.
