While at a conference last week I heard about a network for Early Career 
Scientist called: Young Earth System Scientists (YESS) Community. YESS, 
is a great way to meet and interact with other graduate students and 
postdocs, internationally and locally.  The website acts as interface to 
discuss ideas and plan meetups at upcoming conferences (e.g. AGU in
