Atmosphere and Earth System Postdoctoral Scientist in Cold Cloud Data
and Model Analysis
NCAR Earth System Laboratory (NESL)
Climate and Global Dynamics Division (CGD)
National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)

The Climate and Global Dynamics Division, National Center for
Atmospheric Research is looking for a post-doctoral scientist to conduct
research on ice and mixed phase clouds with the Community Atmosphere
Model and the Community Earth System Model, as well as with in-situ
aircraft and satellite observations. Research will be focused on
analyzing model output and analyzing multi-satellite and aircraft
observations. Several specific aircraft campaign periods will be
targeted. The project will also attempt to use this information to
improve simulations of ice and mixed phase clouds. Experience with
analysis of cloud properties in satellite data, in-situ aircraft or
ground base data, and/or analyses of model simulated cloud properties is
preferred. The position is a new, full-time two-year term position.
