FIU - Florida International University - Physical Climatology

The Department of Earth & Environment(http://casgroup.fiu.edu/earthenvironment/) invites applications for a tenure-track 
position in Physical Climatology to begin Fall 2011. We seek an outstanding scientist with research focused on climate modeling 
and analysis. The level of appointment is open, depending on the candidate's qualifications. Duties include teaching 
undergraduate and graduate courses in Atmospheric Sciences, including Physical Climatology, General Meteorology, and other 
classes based on the candidate's speciality. The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous research program, 
supervise MS and PhD students, and obtain external research funding. FIU offers excellent opportunities for collaboration 
with the National Hurricane Center and the International Hurricane Research Center, which are located on the FIU campus, and 
NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory, located nearby. A Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences or related field
