[Grad-postdoc-assn] Results (Thompson Lecture Discussion and Voting)

Hello all:
Thanks for fellows who attended the ASP Thompson Lecture Social, who 
sent their votes by emails,
and who had great interest in the processes.  Thanks for the ASP office 
for providing ice cream and
cold drinks. We had good discussions and democratic votings while one of 
the committee members
persuaded nominators to withdraw their nominees who have similar 
research interests to the previous
4 lecturers ( :-) ).  21 fellows attended and four by emalis.

The follwoing is the top four nominees with the number of votes.
1) 1st vote:
     William H. Hooke (7)
     Raymond T. Pierrehumbert (7)
     Inez Fung (4)
    Carl Wunsch (4)

2) 2nd vote:
    William H. Hooke (11)
     Raymond T. Pierrehumbert (10)

The committee will meet with the director this Friday and discuss on 
fellows'
recommendation.  Thanks again for your interest and participation.
