[Grad-postdoc-assn] reminder Thompson lecture and potluck tomorrow and Wed.

Hello All,

just a reminder that the 2 days with Bob Houze's Thompson lecture visit
starts tomorrow. The updated schedule is on the ASP website, and is also
attached here. The final individual meetings with Bob should also be
listed on this. Note that the first event begins at 8AM tomorrow (Tues) at
the EOL Atrium in FL1.

I'd also like to encourage everyone to come to the potluck tomorrow night.
We've got 16 people coming so far who have RSVP-ed, but "drop-ins" are
welcome since we've enough lasagna (meat and veggie) to feed a small herd
of elk (so *please* bring your tupperware for leftovers!)! Also, in
addition to lasagna, people have volunteered to bring 3 desserts, 2
salads, and 1 side-dish to-date, so if you can also bring something to
fill this out, this would be appreciated (an extra chair to sit on also
very welcome!). Non-alcoholic drinks and plates/eating utensils will be
provided.

I've also attached a map of the "Boulders at Talisman" clubhouse where the
event will be held. The clubhouse is well-within walking distance of
either CG or FL, and given parking, walking from either of these locations
is a good option -- otherwise I would suggest parking either along Iris
Ave or the south side of Talisman Drive, and walking from there. The red
oval on the map encloses the clubhouse (next to a swimming pool), and the
4 larger red arrows show roughly how to walk there from CG or FL.

(From CG, which you can see in the lower part of the map -- walk along the
railroad tracks from the N. parking lot of CG to cross over onto Talisman
Drive); or from FL, which you can see in the upper right of the map --
follow the railroad tracks under the Foothills Parkway overpass before
crossing over to Talisman Drive).
