[ES_JOBS_NET] Postdoctoral Position in Trace Gas Chemistry of the UT/LS

We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to work on trace gas chemistry of the upper troposphere/lower stratosphere during one or more airborne research missions over the continental United States or the Western Pacific Ocean. The scientist will become involved in all aspects of the preparation, deployment, chemical analysis, and data interpretation of trace gas measurements from high altitude research aircraft.  One position is associated with the Dynamics and Chemistry of the Summer Stratosphere (www.dcotss.org<http://www.dcotss.org>) project.  A second position is potentially available for similar work on a project that is still waiting on a funding decision.  Both positions will involve collaboration with a large, multi-disciplinary team of scientists.
The requirements are a recent PhD in atmospheric, environmental, or chemical sciences.  Experience in areas of gas chromatography/mass spectrometry analyses, trace gas analysis, airborne instrumentation, and data analyses is desired.  Significant time doing field work is expected.
