The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District) is a regional government agency, committed to achieving clean air to protect the public's health and the environment. The Air District's jurisdiction encompasses all seven counties - Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Napa and portions of two others - southwestern Solano and southern Sonoma.

The District is currently conducting an open recruitment for the position of Principal Air and Meteorological Monitoring Specialist in the Meteorology and Measurements Division. There is one (1) vacant position. This is a full-time represented position.

Incumbents are responsible for planning specialized air monitoring field and research studies, air monitoring and meteorological data analysis, and technical research and documentation.
