be mostly applied in coupled mode. In addition, we expect teaching
contributions within the Bachelor and Master programmes (“Physik des
Erdsystems” and “Climate Physics”) during lecture times up to four hours
per week.

Qualifications:

· PhD in natural sciences (e.g., Meteorology, Oceanography,
Physics)

· Experience in coupled atmosphere-ocean modelling

· Knowledge in dynamics of the atmosphere and the oceans, and in
atmosphere-ocean interactions

· Experience in data assimilation in atmosphere or ocean models

· Teaching experience is desirable

· Very good programming skills (e.g., Fortran, Matlab, IDL,
Unix/Linux)

· Ability to work in a team

· Fluency in English

This is a full-time position which is available for 2 years. The
fixed-term contract shall comply with Paragraph 2 Section 1 of The Act of
