 The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Lehigh University
(http://www.lehigh.edu/~incee/) invites applications for a tenure-track
faculty position in the area of sustainable and resilient
water-energy-environmental systems. This bridges two areas of concentration
in our department – civil infrastructure and the water environment.  The
candidate’s research should have a water focus and include
interdisciplinary aspects of the water-environment-energy nexus.  Research
approaches may include modeling, laboratory experiments, and fieldwork.

The position will be filled at the rank of assistant professor with an
anticipated start of Fall 2017. The successful candidate must (1) earn a
doctorate in civil or environmental engineering or a closely related field,
(2) have excellent potential in research and scholarship, and (3) an
ability to teach courses in support of the civil and environmental
engineering programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including
some in the area of water resources. The successful candidate is expected
to develop a strong, externally funded research program, supervise M.S. and
Ph.D. students, and contribute to the diversity and excellence of the
academic community through their research, teaching, and/or service.
