The Climate Dynamics Group in the Department of Geological Sciences in
the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin
seeks to hire an outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow to participate in an
NSF-funded research project to improve our understanding of regional
climate change and variability processes in the tropics and subtropics.
The project includes both observational analysis, and the running and
diagnosing of climate model output. We seek to better understand the
physical processes that operate to produce or resist climate change.

Candidates must have received a PhD in atmospheric science, oceanography
or a related discipline within the last three years, and possess strong
modeling and analysis skills. The expected start date is 1 September
2016, although an earlier date is possible. The initial appointment is
for 1 year, renewable for a second year depending on performance and the
availability of funds.

*Review of applications will begin on 15 February 2016.* All interested
applicants should submit a complete CV and contact information for three
