http://climatechangescience.ornl.gov/, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory
(ORNL), http://www.ornl.gov, has one postdoctoral position available
immediately. We seek a team-oriented candidate that is able to help
design, execute and test a cutting-edge Earth System Model. Candidates
are being recruited to support projects to improve the representation of
nutrient cycling and microbial activities in Earth System Models.

Major Duties/Responsibilities
The postdoctoral fellow will interact closely with a team of genomic
scientists, soil scientists and earth system modelers and conduct
research into modeling how genomics of soil microbes can be utilized to
help predict greenhouse gas releases from soils and their influence on
future climate. The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include
developing and testing new algorithms for key biogeochemical processes
in Earth System Models, participation in scientific conferences, and
timely publication of modeling results.

Qualifications Required
