Postdoctoral associate position in global aerosol-climate modeling at Yale

Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies invites applications for a postdoctoral associate position in the atmospheric chemistry and climate modeling research group (http://environment.yale.edu/unger-group/). The successful candidate will model South Asian cookstove emission impacts on air quality and climate. The position is part of a large international interdisciplinary research project on experimental interventions to facilitate clean cookstove adoption, promote clean indoor air, and mitigate climate change.

Requirements: the applicant must have a Ph.D. in atmospheric science, physics, chemistry, or related field, experience with global or regional modeling of atmospheric chemistry, highly effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a research team. Experience with the NCAR CESM is an advantage.

The position has an anticipated start date of March 1 2016. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance.

To apply, send a single pdf including cover letter, CV, and contact information for 3 references directly to Professor Nadine Unger (nadine.unger at yale.edu<mailto:nadine.unger at yale.edu>).
