*Postdoctoral position at Carnegie Mellon University Center for
Atmospheric Particle Studies*

Carnegie Mellon University’s Center for Atmospheric Particle Studies
(CAPS) invites applications for a position as a Postdoctoral Research
Scientist to develop advanced air pollution emissions inventories. The
position will likely include air quality modeling and/or energy policy
modeling components as well. The successful applicant will work in a
dynamic interdisciplinary research team. Expected start date for the
position is January, 2016.

The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in an engineering or
other field relevant to emissions and air quality. Prior experience with
emission inventory development and the Sparse Matrix Operator Kernel
Emissions (SMOKE) emissions modeling system are preferred. The applicant
must have strong computational and data analysis skills. Experience
in atmospheric chemistry modeling is desirable but not required.

Applications including a CV, one-page research statement, and names and
contact information of three references should be emailed to Prof. Adams
(petera at andrew.cmu.edu <mailto:petera at andrew.cmu.edu>).
