Research in this facility spans a diverse range of topics in solid Earth geochemistry and environmental biogeochemistry. The laboratory manager will report to a faculty committee that comprises the principal users of the facility.

Specific duties include:

  * oversight of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the facility

A PhD degree in geoscience is required at the time of appointment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with sample dissolution, ion exchange chromatography, double spiking and isotope dilution, and spike and standard calibration procedures in clean rooms. In addition, the ideal candidate is proficient in stable and/or radiogenic metal isotope analysis by MC-ICP-MS and elemental analysis by Q-ICP-MS. Experience with laser ablation analysis is an asset. Postdoctoral experience is desirable. The candidate should have strong decision-making and communication skills.
