MS Graduate assistantships in forest ecology and ecosystem modeling

Dr. Tara Hudiburg is seeking students to join her newly formed Ecosystem=20=

Modeling lab at the University of Idaho in the Department of Forest,=20
Rangeland, and Fire Sciences. The students will assist in ecosystem=20
modeling and field-based research focused on how disturbance and climate=20=

affect carbon, water, and nutrient balance in western forests.  Previous=20=

ecosystem modeling experience is not required, however applicants should=20=

have spatial analysis skills, quantitative skills, and be proficient in o=
interested in becoming proficient in at least one programming language.=20=

Previous background in forest ecological processes is a plus. Strong=20
writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.=20=

Graduate research assistant and teaching assistant funding are available=20=

(stipend ~$17,000 -$21,000 per annum and paid tuition). The university is=
