PhD position in hydrology and biogeochemical cycling at Central
Michigan University

The hydrology, hydrogeology, and water resources lab in the Department
of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Central Michigan University is
seeking a qualified and highly motivated student in the field of Earth
and Ecosystems Science to start Fall 2015.  The PhD will focus on plot
and catchment scale water and nutrient fluxes in response to abrupt
vegetation change.  Applicants should have a background in hydrology,
soil sciences, earth sciences, or environmental sciences.  Excellent
oral and written communication skills are expected.  Field experience
and familiarity with (one or more of) the following: biogeochemical
cycling of N and P, MATLAB, and distributed hydrological modeling are
desired but not required.

scientific training in interdisciplinary sciences. EES at CMU employs
