Barbara, invites applications for a post-doctoral scholar in foraminiferal
geochemistry, starting May, 2014. This is 2-year position funded by an NSF
grant whose objective is to establish controls on foraminiferal Mg as a
tropical paleotemperature proxy, and in particular to investigate the
potential role of salinity. We seek an accomplished scientist with the
following experience, in order of importance: foraminiferal trace element
geochemistry, climate proxies, and statistics. Experience in the operation
of ICP-MS is required.

Applicants should submit: a PDF containing a letter of application, their
curriculum vitae, a description of recent research activities and
accomplishments, and the contact information of three referees who will
provide letters. Applicants should request three referees to send letters
of evaluation by May 30th, 2014. The application file and letters of
reference should be submitted to *https://recruit.ap.ucsb.edu
