The Physics Department at the University of Dayton invites applications to
fill two tenure-track positions at the assistant professor rank.

One position is in Environmental Physics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in
physics or closely related field.  Applicants must be a theorist or
computer modeler, and must have research experience in the environmental,
atmospheric or climate change fields. The new faculty member will have the
opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in other departments at the
university engaged in a variety of environmentally-related fields and as
part of newly-established Hanley Sustainability Institute.

The other position is in Electro-Optics. A Ph.D. in physics or optical
sciences is required. Applicants must be experimentalists in the area of
electro-optics with a physics emphasis, and must be able to establish an
independent research program. Applicants must be able to teach all levels
of undergraduate physics courses and graduate electro-optics courses, and
contribute to electro-optics research activities in the physics department.
