We are actually looking for two people.  One person will be located here in
Aurora, and the other will be at our sister location in Falls Church, VA.
Notionally, Position 1 will be in VA and Position 2 will be in CO...But this
is not set in stone.  Thus, candidates are encouraged to apply to the

Position: Population Analysts
Company: SRA International, Aurora, CO

SRA has 2 openings for population analysts on its team that provides
consultative, data quality management, analytical, and education services
for DOD health care clients. The team provides health policy and data
analysis; performs market, utilization and efficiency analyses; documents
problems, concerns and areas for improvement in military health care data;
and performs other evaluative functions as needed. Project tasks are a
continuation of long term work in biostatistical, financial, population
workload, and manpower studies and analyses with focus on improving the
efficiency of Military Health System operations, management, education, and
I/T requirements development.

Population analysts will be part of a team developing methodologies for
short-term and long-term population estimates of MHS (Military Health
System) beneficiaries. They will work with demographic data to produce
population forecasts for various cohorts, including active duty service
members, retirees, and dependents. They will independently design, code,
test, and document SAS programs in support of the forecasting effort. They
will evaluate and/or research methodologies and prepare supporting
documentation for the forecasts that can be understood by a layman. Through
experience gained in this task, the selected candidates will become subject
matter experts for MHS population projections.

Minimum Requirements - Position 1:
1.	Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, OR, Public Health,
Epidemiology or similar field 
2.	Demonstrated experience analyzing (population) trends using
statistical and/or actuarial techniques. 
3.	High level proficiency with SAS programming language and at least 2
years recent coding experience. 
4.	Able to communicate effectively with a variety of customers such as
the Congressional Budget Office, TRICARE Program Budget and Execution
Division, Uniformed Services, DoD Office of the Actuary, and Defense
Manpower Data Center. 
5.	Able to work effectively independently and as part of team. 
6.	Ability to obtain DoD Position of Trust 

Minimum Requirements - Position 2:
1.	Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, OR, Public Health,
