(1) 22-28 June CEDAR Workshop registration open at
http://vsp-rosebud.dls.ucar.edu/cedar/
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
From Barbara Emery (emery at ucar.edu).

The annual summer CEDAR Workshop registration is now open at
http://vsp-rosebud.dls.ucar.edu/cedar/ and linked at
http://cedarweb.hao.ucar.edu/wiki/index.php/2013_Workshop:Main
through the main Workshop page. The meeting will be held at
the Millennium Hotel in Boulder, CO, including all the student
lodging and poster sessions.

There is a free educational CEDAR-GEM Workshop the Saturday and
Sunday between GEM in Snowmass, CO June 16-21 and CEDAR. GEM
participants are encouraged to sign up for this free event in
the Millennium Hotel so a CEDAR-GEM participant list can be
produced and numbers for catering are accurate. The CEDAR
Student Workshop is Sunday June 23 next to the second day of
CEDAR-GEM. CEDAR Student Workshops are open to non-students,
so GEM or CEDAR non-student participants can attend if they
desire for free.

All the requested workshops (and 2 more expected) will be scheduled,
where workshops of CEDAR-GEM interest will probably be scheduled
for Monday or Tuesday. The Ionosphere-Thermosphere poster session
is Tuesday while the Mesosphere-Lower-Thermosphere poster session
is Wednesday on the Draft Agenda. The known plenary speakers are
listed.

Millennium Hotel special rates are available until Friday 31 May,
which is also the deadline for early non-student registration. Students
should sign up for their lodging at the Millennium on the registration
form, and must register by Friday May 17.

(2) Mini meetings (Power Grid and CCMC CEDAR-GEM) Monday April 15 in Boulder, CO
prior to Space Weather Week.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
From Barbara Emery (emery at ucar.edu).

There are two mini-meetings at the Millennium Hotel in Boulder, CO on
Monday April 15 that take advantage of Space Weather Week
http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/sww/ on April 16-19 also at the Millennium.

The CEDAR-GEM CCMC Challenge (http://ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov/challenges/GEM-CEDAR/)
meeting is from 8-noon in half of the ballroom. We will review the
progress from our last meeting at the June 2012 CEDAR Workshop
(http://cedarweb.hao.ucar.edu/wiki/index.php/2012_Workshop:CEDAR_ETI_Modeling_Challenge)
including some of the work presented at the mini-GEM workshop on
Sunday December 2. We will then present work performed since December,
including looking at outputs from different AMIE runs, and finish
with future plans. Please contact Barbara Emery (emery at ucar.edu)
if you plan to attend to help define catering numbers accurately.
Please contact Ja Soon Shim (jasoon.shim at nasa.gov) if you want to
present anything.

The Power Grid meeting meets in half of the ballroom from 1230-5PM.
There are some special invitees who are encouraged to sit near the
front, but observers are welcome to come also. Please contact Bill
Murtagh (william.murtagh at noaa.gov) if you plan to attend to help
define catering numbers accurately.

Our apologies for those who have already made their plane reservations
and cannot attend. Contact us later in the week at SWW to get caught up.
