The scdnews list notifies you periodically of new articles posted to SCD News, a continually updated electronic newsletter available on the web at http://www.scd.ucar.edu/news. SCD News provides news and features on the SCD computing environment, including information on hardware and software upgrades, in-depth technical articles, and programming tips. Each week SCD News offers a photo and mini-story about SCD staff activities, events, or equipment enhancements. Past articles are available online in the SCD News archives. SCD News is published by the Scientific Computing Division (SCD) of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado, USA. NCAR is operated by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) under sponsorship of the National Science Foundation (NSF). Using Scdnews
To post a message to all the list members, send email to scdnews@mailman.ucar.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Scdnews
Subscribe to Scdnews by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
