[Wrf-users] How SST is used in WRF?

Hi,
Could any one answer the following questions:
Is SST (sea surface temperature) only used for *initial condition* or it is
also used for imposing bottom *boundary conditions*?
If SST is only used for initialize WRF simulation, how does WRF impose
bottom boundary conditions?  As lateral boundary condition imposed by
meteorological data, then what about bottom boundaries?
