Hello,
You may want to follow those procedures below to use the 33-category land-cover in WRF.
http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/people/duda/files/how_to_hires.html
It is also available http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/docs/user_guide_V3/users_guide_chap3.htm#_Creating_an_Urban.
You need to adapt some procedures to accommodate the 33-category land cover

Subject: [Wrf-users] Fwd: changing land use category from 24 to 33
Dear Sir,
In my Geog file for WRF, we are using (1992-93)USGS Landuse (resolution 30s) which is 24-categories. In stead of 24-categories I want to use 33-categories (Example, class 1 (urban and built up) to 31,32,33 (low intensity, high intensity and commercial)). How to do that & what is the procedure to do that?
waiting your quick & positive reply
With thanks & Regards
Sanjeeb Kumar Sahoo
