[Wrf-users] Combining Surface and upper air data

Hi all,
I would like to combine surface and upper air data from rda.ucar.edu.
The files that i am using are already in the little_r format...

can i use this script to do this?
http://www.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/src/RT_fdda_reformat_obsnud.pl


or the simple concatenate command will work for this?

I wiil appreciate any help..
