Hi Gisele,
Just use netCDF tool to extract variables you need in wrfout files if your output files were written in netCDF format. You may write some code yourself for further processing. All of above are easier ways than what you gona do. Hoep it is helpful.

Dear users,

Some years ago I run WRF EMS V2.2 and now I need to post-process again the wrfout files. I stored the files but excluded this version of WRF from my pcs. The easiest way to solve this problem would be to post-process the files using recent versions of ARWpost, but this program does not give the variables that I need to my study. So, I tried to reinstall the WRFV2.2 in an attempt to post-process quickly the files, but I do not know where to allocate my wrfout files in order to execute the wrf_post.exe. Please, any help will be welcome.
