[Wrf-users] How to specify additional vertical levels

Is there a way to run WRF at customized vertical levels?  I don't just mean 
increasing the value of e_vert.  And I'm talking about adding vertical levels 
not contained intermediate file format, so running mod_levs.exe would not be 
useful.  Generally, based on what I've read in the user's guide, it seems like 
the only control one has is to increase e_vert.
