Dear all,

Does anyone know how I can get the direct and the diffuse components
of the downward shortwave radiation from WRF?

There are several radiation variables and their meaning is not clear
 to me:

GSW - net short wave flux at ground surface
SWDOWN - downward short-wave flux at ground surface
SWDOWNC - downward clear-sky short-wave flux at ground surface

I would be grateful if someone could enlighten me about the meanings
 of these three variables.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Agnes
